Working with clients with a cognitive impairment who have been sexually assaulted?
SECASA is currently implementing the Making Rights Reality Pilot Project for clients with a cognitive impairment or communication difficulties.
In 2012 Sophie Gilmore and Natalie Titmus, Social Work students from Monash University, took a placement at SECASA. The students' project arose out of the need for counsellor/advocates at SECASA to have an overview of effective therapeutic approaches for working with clients with a cognitive impairment who have been sexually assaulted.
