I would like to begin by thanking DVIRC for inviting me to write this article about the work that I have been doing with young men who have been sexually assaulted; as well as George Habib for contributing to many of these ideas, which developed out of much time and effort in putting together a workshop on 'Understanding and Working with Young Men who have Experienced Sexual Assault'. The workshop was part of a recent forum organised by the Centres Against Sexual Assault, Working with Men: Dilemmas and Directions.
