The complexities of Aboriginal culture predetermine problems Aboriginal people can have in dealing with service providers. For example, continual eye contact and questioning can make Aboriginal people very uncomfortable and reluctant to revisit a service. People in position of authority are often threatening to Aboriginal people. The Aboriginal people are concerned because of stigma of being labelled by mainstream authority. In the past Anglo Australian authority has intruded, questioned and judged Aboriginal lifestyle because it was different from their own.
