There are a variety of services available but they can be difficult to find. The following services can refer you to a local counsellor, counselling service, self-help or women's group. Most of them have library resources with books and videos.
Community health centres and women's health services often provide affordable counselling and local referrals.
Local council community services departments give referrals, a services directory and may provide counselling.
Citizen's advice bureaus give referrals and may provide counselling.
Women's Information Referral Exchange (WIRE) have a comprehensive list of counsellors, self-help and support groups.
Healthsharing Women's Health Resource Service have a comprehensive list of self-help and support groups.

Relationships Australia see homosexual and heterosexual couples both married and unmarried.

CASAs offer short to medium term counselling to people who have been sexually assaulted recently or in the past. Also support groups, advocacy, telephone counselling, referrals and a library.
