This article is written for women and assumes a male offender, however SECASA acknowledges that both men and women can be survivors of sexual abuse and that offenders can be male and female.
A library for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault
The Domestic Violence Resource Centre provides a special library for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and incest. The library holds a range of books, articles, news clippings, videos and audio tapes, including:
- Self-help books and resources for survivors on recovery and healing
- Stories written by and for survivors
- Resources in various languages
- Resources for mothers, partners, family and friends
- Books and resources for children who have experienced abuse, or witnessed violence.
The library is also available to students, community workers and other professionals who are seeking information on domestic violence and incest.

BORROWING:
Books, tapes and videos may be borrowed for 2 weeks at a time. Photocopying is also available.
OPENING HOURS:
The library is open Monday and Thursday mornings. and Wednesday afternoons.

THE DVRC NEWSLETTER
The Newsletter is published quarterly, and is filled with interesting feature articles on both practice and theoretical issues concerning domestic violence and sexual assault, as well as up-to-date information on the law, new resources, training and support groups.
