Home: Survivors: Information on Rape: When a man is raped
This article is written for men and assumes a male offender, however SECASA acknowledges that both men and women can be survivors of sexual abuse and that offenders can be male and female.
This booklet encourages those men who have been raped to seek help. It provides the sort of information which may help and empower them to deal with the trauma of rape. The booklet is divided into three sections. Part 1 is designed for use by a man who has been raped. It provides facts about the rape of men, information about possible effects, and where he can receive help in NSW, including information about the option of reporting to police. Part 2 speaks to the partner, friend or family on supporting the person who has been raped. Part 3 lists services and resources available to assist men and their family and or friends.
