When I sought help to overcome the everyday effects that childhood sexual abuse had on my life, I did it to take back the control of my life, so that things could be better. The effects were dragging me down to where I thought I had no future. The journey of recovery that I embarked on took over and ran my life for a while but what I've learned allows me to choose who I want to be and to make the changes that give me hope in my future.
