County Court - Committal

The County Court is where the committal hearing is held. It is heard by a Magistrate. The Magistrate will decide if there is enough evidence to warrant the case going to trial. The Court Officer is the person who assists the Magistrate e.g. with purveying the evidence to the Magistrate. The Monitor assists in recording the proceedings.
