There are several options or possible courses of action which may be taken by the victim/survivor or, in the case of a child, someone acting on her/his behalf. Here we assume mandatory reporting procedure has been followed where applicable.
It should also be noted that the options outlined are not mutually exclusive but may be pursued concurrently in the best interest of the victim/survivor.
