Talk about how you feel.

Home: Family & Friends: For Family and Friends: Book for 6 to 10

Children who have been sexually assaulted have lots of different and confusing feelings. It is normal for you to have these feelings, like being scared, feeling it's your fault or feeling angry. You may feel that it is very hard to talk about your feelings or you may try hard not to think about it. Even when you try not to think about what happened to you it may keep coming into your head especially when other things don't go right.

It will feel much better if you talk to someone about those feelings even if that is hard to do. If grown ups know how you feel then they can help you. Talking makes YOU strong and the feelings less strong.

If you need to talk to anyone about these things please call:

  • The Kids Helpline on 1800 551 800
  • CASA on 1800 806 292
