THANKYOU
Dear SECASSA,
On behalf of Year 9 students and the community at Mt. Eliza Secondary College I would sincerely like to thank you for your time, effort and support of our 2003 Mindware program. Feedback from students, parents, teachers and many community groups suggests this year's program was one of the most successful in Mindware's five year history, with many students developing new skills and knowledge through alternative educational opportunities. Without your help this would not have been possible.
Health issues such as drug and alcohol use, sexual health concerns, juvenile justice and family relations are significant issues for Year 9 aged students. Many of our students may have friends, or indeed are themselves, grappling with very difficult decisions. The role of honest and open discussion around the issue of adolescence, risk taking and relationships is integral to the health and wellbeing of young people and the value of having people from your organisation present to our students cannot be underestimated.
I believe that the vast majority of our students enjoyed and benefited greatly from your presentation, listening carefully and asking pertinent questions where appropriate. The flexibility you displayed in accommodating our students is greatly appreciated and you have clearly made a positive contribution to the education of young people in a way that we are unable to do.
Once again thank you for you invaluable support. All the best for the coming year, I hope 2004 is a prosperous and fruitful one for you.
Regards,
Mindware Coordinator
